North West switchover

More than seven million TV viewers have lost analogue signal as the digital switchover reached the north west of England on the 2 December 2009. All the analogue channels were permanently switched off.

All televisions will need to be connected to Freeview, Freesat, satellite, cable or broadband in order to receive broadcasts.

I am here to offer free advice to anyone that is unsure about the digital switchover.

World Cup in HD on Freesat

Finally, ITV HD has come to satellite TV.

With the launch of ITV HD on Sky TV and Freesat, when the world cup kicks off in June, in South Africa, the amount of people watching the games on TV in high definition will have increased substantially.

There are around sixty four live matches being aired between the BBC and ITV all of which will now be available in full high definition.
